Satpol PP will Monitor Fireworks Displays Ban at Hotels and Malls

Jakarta Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) is about to monitor the firework display ban at hotels, malls and other private areas ahead of New Year's eve.

Personnel in each region will monitor

This policy is a follow-up to the direction of the Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung, as a form of empathy for residents affected by the disaster in Sumatra.

Head of Jakarta Satpol PP, Satriadi Gunawan said the Governor's direction was discussed in a meeting lately. The results of the meeting agreed to issue a Circular Letter from the Jakarta Provincial Government as the basis for an appeal to business actors.

"Appeal to hotel owners, malls and other private parties not to implement fireworks parties," he said, Tuesday (12/23).

He explained that Satpol PP personnel will monitor all areas of Jakarta to ensure compliance with the recommendations. Personnel at the regional level will also be deployed to anticipate potential violations.

"Personnel in each region will monitor this  implementation," he explained.
